My name is Barby and this is Luna.

 

I have always loved dogs; they are wonderful companions and bring so much joy to our lives.  When Luna was a baby, I tried to find somewhere that she could go and spend time if I needed to go out for the day or away for work, and it was very difficult!  The day cares and boarders around accepted breeds of all shapes and sizes, and whilst this is great for some, Luna struggled around the bigger and more energetic dogs.

 

Over time, I noticed that her worries also followed her to the park and other places that we walked.  Nothing had happened, and she was not fearful, she was clearly concerned that she would be knocked while everyone was having fun.  It made me realise that there is a need for day care and boarding for dogs that are very small, to try and avoid ‘fun related’ injuries. 

 

My friends and family also felt like this, and I would take care of their dogs while they went on holiday, so they did not need to worry either.  Chatting with others in the local area, it was clear what I was not alone in my desire for small breed care, so I decided to start the service myself, Luna’s Little Legs was launched!

 

I am canine first aid trained, insured, and have a 4 star licence with Leeds City Council for 3 dogs plus my Luna.
